The Personal Information Protection Act ("PIPA") has introduced the Privacy Policy Evaluation System to encourage companies and organizations to enhance their privacy policies voluntarily and to uphold the rights of data subjects, including strengthening their right to information through transparent and reliable privacy policies. As part of this evaluation system, set to launch for the first time this year, the Personal Information Protection Commission ("PIPC") has recently unveiled the 2024 Privacy Policy Evaluation Plan on June 12, 2024.
