Yulchon advised KDB as senior lender on this financing of two (2) 324,966 DWT very large ore carriers for Wooyang Shipping. The vessels were registered under the Panamanian flag. We prepared all senior financing, security and transaction documents. We also coordinated with English, Panamanian, and Marshall Islands legal counsel on all transaction documents, including registration of the senior lender’s security interests in the vessel.

This deal was complex as it involved multiple jurisdictions, including a third priority mortgage over a MI flagged vessel and representation of both the senior and the junior lenders. Yulchon offered comprehensive guidance on all aspects throughout the transaction. Yulchon’s detailed planning and close coordination of entities across multiple jurisdictions was key to the successful and timely close of the transaction to the satisfaction of the client.
