Introduction
Sung Moo Jung is a partner at Yulchon who practices primarily in the areas of antitrust and sectors related to regulatory administration including healthcare, advertising and online industry. He has handled all types of antitrust issues regarding control of economic power concentration such as abuse of market dominance, cartels, unfair trade practices, business combination, and unfair trade practices and unfair intragroup trading as well as antitrust law issues regarding subcontracting, large franchise and retail business, franchise business, agency, electronic commerce, labelling and advertising, and terms and conditions. Mr. Jung also has vast experience in providing advice in the aspects of legal review, preparation for regulatory agency’s investigation and decision, administrative and civil litigation, consulting for market entry in pharmaceuticals areas including obtainment of government permit and approval, listing in the national health insurance drug list and drug pricing, establishment of internal inquiry and compliance system and consulting for establishment of business models taking consideration the characteristics and regulations of the concerned industry. Mr. Jung received his LL.B from Seoul National University, and obtained a Master’s Degree with emphasis on economic laws. He has been working with Yulchon’s Antitrust team since 2005.

- 2016-2017 Represented Lotte Duty Free in a case regarding collusion among duty free business companies
- 2016 Represented Daelim in the case regarding its bid-rigging for LNG storage tanks
- 2016 Represented Hansol Papertech engaged in an illegal price-fixing cartel for corrugated cardboard
- 2015 Represented Geumbo Development (Nambu CC) in a lawsuit involving abuse of its position in trade (obtained a decision of not guilty)
- 2015 Advised MBK on its acquisition of Homeplus
