Introduction

Kim Jeong Won received his B.A. from Seoul National University and passed the 36th Public Administration Examination. Mr. Kim also received his M.A. from Public Administration Graduate School, Seoul National University and another M.A. from John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. From 1993, Mr. Kim accumulated his work experience at the Ministry of Information & Communication (MIC) and worked at various teams including the New Media Policy Division and the Telecommunication Consumer Policy Division of Korea Communications Commission (KCC) from 2011 to 2013. Mr. Kim also served as a Secretary to the President for ICT at Office of the President from 2013 to 2015 and a Senior Consultant of UN ESCAP APCICT from 2015 to 2016. Subsequently, Mr. Kim worked as a Chief of Seoul Radio Management Service in 2016 and a Director General of Office of Intelligent Information Society at the Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning (MSIP) from 2016 to 2017. While working at the Ministry of Science & ICT (MSIT), Mr. Kim dedicated himself to the R&D Policy Bureau as a Director General from 2017 to 2018 and the ICT Policy Bureau as a Director General from 2018 to 2020. Mr. Kim also served as a Deputy Minister for the Office of ICT Policy from 2020 to 2021. Subsequently, Mr. Kim worked as a Secretary to the President for Digital Innovation for Office of the President from 2021 until recently.
