Introduction

David MacArthur is Co-head of the International Dispute Resolution practice at Yulchon. A US-qualified attorney, admitted in Utah in 2003, Mr. MacArthur previously developed and led the international arbitration practice at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, in Tokyo, Japan, from 2021 to 2023, before joining Yulchon. In addition, he was a leading member of Bae, Kim & Lee LLC’s international arbitration practice for almost 15 years, during which the team was ranked in the GAR100 or GAR30 every year. He has represented clients in arbitrations involving a wide range of industries, including automotive, construction, IP, medical devices, online gaming, pharmaceutical and life sciences, real estate, shipbuilding, telecommunications, and other sectors, in disputes based in jurisdictions around the world and under most major arbitration rules prior to joining Yulchon. He also acts as arbitrator, and has been certified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), with experience under the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, JCAA, KCAB and other rules.
