Yulchon established the Japan Practice Team in order to meet the increasing demand for legal services relating to cross border transactions and matters between Japan and Korea. The Team offers a broad range of legal services for Japan specific matters, including M&A, general corporate and finance matters, tax, antitrust, labor, litigation & arbitration, and real estate.

The Japan Practice Team consists of lawyers and professionals with in-depth knowledge and many years of experience in Japan related issues, all of whom are proficient in Japanese. The members of the Japan Practice Team are keenly aware of, and sensitive to, the differences between the two countries in terms of culture, business expectations and protocols, which we believe is a key differentiator in its ability to provide best legal solutions to Japanese and Korean clients alike.

Yulchon’s Japan Practice Team is proactively engaged in keeping Japanese clients informed on new market trends and legal developments in Korea. For example, the Team has held a number of seminars on diverse areas of Korean laws through our close relationship with Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (“KOTRA”) and Gyeonggi local government. The Team also regularly publishes newsletters in Japanese, intended to help Japanese clients monitoring legal developments in Korea.
