Cecil Saehoon Chung Receives Further Appointments from ABA and Recognition from ABF

Senior Foreign Counsel Cecil Saehoon Chung has been reappointed as Vice Chair of the International Committee of the ABA’s Section of Antitrust Law for the 2016-2017 term and also appointed as Member of the ABA Antitrust Section’s newly created Procedural Transparency Task Force.


Mr. Chung has also been appointed as Vice Chair of the International Intellectual Property Committee of the ABA’s Section of International Law for the 2016-2017 term.  Also for the 2016-2017 term, earlier in the year, Mr. Chung was reappointed as Co-Chair of the Privacy, E-Commerce and Data Security (PEDS) Committee and Vice Chair of the International Antitrust Law Committee of the ABA’s International Law Section.


Furthermore, Mr. Chung has been elected to the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation. Created by the ABA, the ABF is an independent, non-profit organization that endeavors to “advance justice through ground-breaking, independent research on law, legal institutions, and legal processes.” Established in 1955, The Fellows of the ABF is “an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal professions” and encourages and supports the research programs of the ABF.  Membership is limited to only one percent of lawyers licensed in each U.S. state and a limited number of international Fellows including only a handful of lawyers based in Asia.
